![]() Application converts your still picture into a simulated 3D model automatically. Upload, wait for a few seconds, and download! It takes a two-dimensional image and creates a three-dimensional "fly around" model simulation, giving the viewers access to the scene's depth and a range of points of view. After uploading your image, you can "fly" in the virtual 3-D scene (requires VRML viewer, Flash or Adobe Shockwave), or watch a rendered 3-d movie (flash required). You can download the 3-d model, do whatever you want to do with it. Or use our embed link to put the 3d image in your social network profile, or in your blog. Share your pictures with your friends and family. How does it work? It uses powerful machine learning techniques to learn the 3-d structure of a scene as a function of the (single) image features. The software uses a breakthrough technology in machine learning to learn depth from a single image and estimate its 3-d structure. The project was led by Prof. Ashutosh Saxena and Prof. Andrew Y. Ng, and now is at Cornell University. To view an image in 3-d you need either shockwave or a VRMl viewer. To download shockwave, go to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download Currently support Adobe Shockwave and VRML viewers. You can also see pre-rendered movie in Flash. Download Adobe Shockwave. For viewing VRMLs, we suggest Cortona plugin for Windows, and this for Linux. Takes less than a minute to install. For Intel Mac users, try Instant Reality player. |
