3D Canvas
Amabilis' 3D modeling and animation tool.
3D Canvas is a real-time 3D modeling and animation tool that incorporates an intuitive drag-and-drop approach to 3D modeling.
Complex models can be constructed from simple 3D primitives, or created using 3D Canvas' Object Building Tools. Modeling tools are provided to deform, sculpt, and paint 3D objects.

Creating an animated scene is as simple as positioning the objects within your scene for each point in time in your animation. 3D Canvas will ensure that the resulting animation runs smoothly. Your animation can be stepped through a frame at a time, viewed in real-time, or recorded to a Video (AVI) file so that you can distribute your creation.

Tool roll-up groups allow you to customize the 3D Canvas interface so that only those items you use most frequently are visible. And if you need access to a less frequently used feature, the tool roll-up is always one click away.

The standard version of 3D Canvas is a fully functional product provided as freeware. Upgrades are available for those who require additional features either for game development or for rendering photo-realistic images.

To install 3D Canvas for all users of a computer:

• Logon as an administrator
  Select "Run" from the Start Menu
  Type the following in the "Open" entry box: msiexec /i "path\3DCanvas.msi" ALLUSERS="2" where "path" is the location of the 3D Canvas installation file.
  Click "OK", and follow the installation instructions
  Run 3D Canvas. 3D Canvas will make a number of registry entries needed for the next step.
  Run Regedit using the Start menu's "Run" function.
  Right click on the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Amabilis\3D Canvas" and select "Permissions" from the popup menu.
  Select "Users" and click the "Allow-Full Control" check box.
  Click "OK"

Please note that if you are upgrading from an earlier version that you will need to uninstall the previous version before installing the new version.

3D Canvas Plus and Pro users will need to download an additional 15.3 MB file to enable the additional features of 3D Canvas Plus and 3D Canvas Pro. Once you have entered your license code a download link will be added to the 3D Canvas Help menu. Note that if you upgrading from a previous version you will need to re-download the 3D Canvas Plus/Pro upgrade file since this file is specific to the version of 3D Canvas you are running.

Please note that 3D Canvas is distributed as a Windows Installer document in order to reduce its download size. Most computers will be able to install 3D Canvas by double-clicking the 3DCanvas Windows Installer file. If double-clicking the 3DCanvas Windows Installer file does not install 3D Canvas you will need to download the Windows Installer.
If you get a warning that MDAC 2.5 is required before the installation of 3D Canvas you require an update to your Windows' Data Access Components
